HOW TO KNOW YOU’RE READY

You may have heard friends in the business tell you that you need to outsource, but how do you know if the time is right for you? For me, I knew it was time for me to find a virtual assistant when things started slipping through the cracks. Sometimes, I wouldn’t respond to an inquiry email for a week, which totally affected my client relationships. Potential clients aren’t always going to wait around for a week and by the time I responded, they had often moved on already. Another sign I knew I was ready was because I was constantly letting my ideas sit on the back burner. Dreams I was once passionate about would get pushed off for months and eventually the passion fizzled out because I never had time to pursue those dreams.

WHAT CAN A VA DO FOR YOU?

While the tasks a VA can do are important, the main thing a VA gives you is the gift of TIME. Time to use your skills, pursue passions, and be the creative entrepreneur you were designed to be. As far as tasks, there are a million things a VA can do within your business. It’s vital to find someone who is a good personality fit. They should be someone you trust has the best interest of your business as a priority. HERE is a post all about how to find the perfect VA for you. You may find a VA that offers specific services, but here is a list of things you could ask about:

  • Inbox management/client communication

  • Update and organize client information

  • Sending invoices and contracts

  • Workflow management

  • Purchasing client gifts

  • Creating and sending wedding timelines

  • Curating and posting blogs

  • Scheduling social media posts

  • Delivering client galleries

  • Email marketing

  • Curating and sending excitement inducing newsletters

SHIFTING YOUR MINDSET

You’re used to doing these tasks and sometimes it feels easier to keep doing them yourself. They aren’t hard. You’ve done them a thousand times. But the little things add up and take TIME which is exactly what you’re trying to get back. Alter your mindset and continuously tell yourself to pass those tasks off so you have time for the things that will help grow and scale your business.

So what do you think? Are you feeling like it may be time to hire a VA? Its nice to have the extra support and have someone who is comfortable and knowledgeable about your business to hand things off to when you’re busy. It gives you the peace of mind to know you have another set of eyes on things before they reach your clients or get sent out into the world. You don’t have to do it all, so let someone change your life for the better!
