How hiring a virtual assistant can help you make more money…

All too often I see entrepreneurs overwhelmed, working way too many hours, and trying to juggle a million different things. They know they need help, but the thought of slowing down enough to train someone new and pass something off causes enough anxiety to make them push the dream of working less to the back burner and continue doing it ALL. Another reason I often see people nervous to outsource is because it can be difficult to wrap their head around paying someone to do something they can do themselves. If this is you, rest assured that you’re not alone. However, I’m here to tell you that outsourcing tasks can not only make you feel less stressed, but doing so can actually help you make more money!

WHAT CAN I GET OFF MY PLATE?

Imagine logging onto your email to find that instead of needing to respond to 15, you only need to respond to 2 because your VA has been trained on how to respond to most of your emails. Or even better, you hop on Voxer or Marco Polo and send your VA a rambling of what you’d like your response to those 2 emails to be and you immediately log off because you know it’s taken care of and you have better things to do with your time. Instead of 45 minutes responding to emails, you cut it down to 5 minutes or less! Isn’t that the dream?!

Another scenario is that you’ve just had back-to-back consult calls and you’re tired of sitting at your computer but you know you have to send those contracts/invoices/proposals over to your clients. Instead of spending another hour at your computer, you send a quick message to your VA and, boom, it’s done. Next thing you know you’re getting an email that an invoice has been paid. An invoice that you didn’t even send!

Honestly, there are countless ways a VA can help take tasks off your plate for more ideas, check out my post “HOW TO KNOW YOU’RE READY TO HIRE A VIRTUAL ASSISTANT”

BE THE BOSS YOU ARE

As someone who has built their own business, it can be difficult to remember that you are the CEO. You started out being everything to your business, but when you get busy enough, your role must shift. Most CEOs have an entire team working under them so they can focus on the “big picture” and this is exactly the kind of “boss move” you should be making within your business.

Knowing that the menial tasks within your business are handled can help clear mental blocks you didn’t even know you had. You suddenly have the mental capacity to focus on your zone of genius. You may find yourself getting more creative and even shifting your business in a different direction. You can finally submit your weddings to blogs to be published, follow up with clients to get their glowing testimonials, send out thoughtful gifts, write a blog post that boosts your SEO, etc.

If you haven’t been able to tell, I’m a huge fan of hiring a Virtual Assistant. Feeling less overwhelmed and having more time to grow your business is such a dream! I’ll say it just one more time, you don’t have to do it ALL.
